    The Grand Rapids Area Library’s Community Room was filled with people on Thursday, March 29. They were gathered there to hear speaker Kevin Proescholdt talk about the importance of wilderness. After an introduction by Bill Berg, Mr. Proescholdt talked about what wilderness is, and listed many of the reasons it is important for us to protect it.     Panning (or a pan shot) refers to the rotation in a horizontal plane of the camera, or a shot in which a stationary camera turns horizontally, revealing new areas. Film and professional video cameras pan by turning horizontally on a vertical axis. The view sweeps from left to right or from right to left.
