These were some of the most intense overhead auroras I've seen. There were two auroral sub-storms that brought the auroras directly overhead and also into the southern sky a little bit. Both scenes were filmed with 15mm f2.8 fisheye lens. The first scene was recorded at Trout Lake in Bovey, MN at ISO1600, exposures ranging from 13 sec to 8 sec. On the second scene, I went up to ISO 3200 to get better temporal resolution and was able to drop down to 3.2 sec exposure times. Canon 5d Mk II.
