Intern Insight - Volume 7

GR Area Library

Aloha!

This week’s assignments for Intern Joe included back-to-back Grand Rapids Area Library Programs.

Wednesday night’s program featured author Rebecca Fjelland Davis. Rebecca’s presentation focused on how to start a story, how to finish a story, and how to turn seemingly mundane, real-life events into exciting, publishable stories! She showed great enthusiasm with her presentation and had some fantastic ideas for aspiring authors! Her show was titled “Prairie-Dogging Your Way to a Story.” Tune in to find out why!

The second library program, taking place in a little under five hours from this writing (Thurs, 7/19 @ 7pm), features Water Resources Educator and Botanist Dr. Mary Blickenderfer. Mary will be speaking about a variety of ways that we can keep Itasca County lakes and rivers clean, and wildlife abundant. Tune in to your local public access channel to check out “Itasca County Lake Challenge.”

Lastly, I’ll be shooting the 8th Annual KAXE River Festival on Saturday. The two performances we’ll have the cameras rolling for will be the 3:30pm Lydia Loveless show, followed by the 5:30pm Sena Ehrhardt performance. Come on down and enjoy some music, and then watch it again on ICTV!

Cheers,
Joe
