Description
A great topping for your bruschetta with caramelized onion, garlic and rosemary. It is topped with savory Mozzarella cheese. Brings the bright flavors of Italy right to your own palette. It is quick and easy to make, and is sure to make an impression on those special dinner guests.
Ingredients
- 3 T olive oil
- 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
- 4 clv garlic, minced
- 1 T rosemary, dried and crushed
- 2 c mozzarella, shredded
- 1 c asiago, grated
- 1 1⁄2 T black pepper
Instructions
In large skillet, heat oil, add onions, and saute. Add garlic and continue sauteing an additional 8 minutes until caramelized, stirring often. Stir in rosemary and cook another minute. Remove from heat, cool completely. Spread
1 tablespoon of mixture over each piece of bread. Top with 2 tablespoons of cheese and pepper mixture.
